Interesting Facts

What will you see?

  • Main Market Square - the tour starts here. It is the biggest medieval Market Square and the Krakow's most popular tourists attraction. Its popularity has not faded since the 13th century when it was first built. It has its unique charm and the atmosphere that you cannot experience anywhere else.
  • Planty Garden - it is a garden surrounding the whole Old Town area. It is a beloved citizen's area because it brings the park-like feeling to the City Center. Needless to say, it's great for bike rides.
  • Jagiellonian University - the oldest Polish University (founded in 1363) it tells the story of education, and what it is like to be a student throughout the centuries in Poland. The building that you will pass during the tour is also very beautiful to watch.
  • Residence of Oscar Schindler - Have you watched the movie Schindler's List? If not - you must! The German businessman who had a factory in Kazimierz District hired Jewish People in order to save them from Concentration Camps. An amazing story!
  • Bishop's Palace and "Pope's window" - whenever the Pope comes to Poland, he meets with citizens standing in this particular window. The tradition started by John Paul II. At one of his pilgrimages, the youth of Krakow was standing outside his window calling him to speak to them. Since he loved the people so much - he just couldn't resist :)
  • Wawel Castle - it's a classic. The treasure and symbol of Krakow, reminding us about the glorious times when Krakow was a residence of Polish Kings and Queens and the most important city in the whole country. For citizens of Krakow, nothing changed from that time, by the way :)
  • Jewish Quarter - the history of this district is so rich, it's hard to describe it in one sentence. It reminds us of the times when Poles and Jews were co-existing together like siblings. It reminds us of the tragedy of Holocaust. And today it welcomes us with its distinctive and a little mysterious atmosphere
