This treasure trove of ancient discoveries has been deeply tied to the history of the area and the local metallurgical plant since its inception. It all began in 1949 when construction unearthed a wealth of archaeological wonders.

In 1950, the Ministry of Culture and Art officially established the Management of Excavation Works in Nowa Huta. Over the years, the museum has shifted locations within the district, finally settling down in the charming Kraków Branice area.

The star attraction, "Archaeologists for Nowa Huta" exhibition lies within the scenic manor and park complex. Interactive boards and screens narrate the fascinating history of the museum, and the ancient tales of the Nowa Huta region, and showcase a stunning collection of photographs from the last seven decades.
