About

If you want to get acquainted with medieval art - just visit some old Krakow churches. It was the Church that invested the greatest resources in art, which is why sacred art is so valuable to us today. It is a showcase of the era.
There is only one problem - there are 130 churches in Krakow - how to visit them all?

We have a solution :) Just go to the Diocesan Museum and watch the most valuable exhibits of sacred art gathered in one place.

History

Cardinal Karol Wojtyla

On this street, Kanonicza 19 and 21, he lived for over a dozen years. Whenever I enter this house, I feel His presence. Several decades ago, here at Kanonicza Street, he met with many people, and now he is gathering us in the Archdiocesan Museum and invites us to meet him.

Collected souvenirs, which we can see here, give us the opportunity to meet John Paul II one more time. The objects presented at this exhibition are simple and ordinary, just as simple and ordinary was cardinal. Karol Wojtyla.

Stanisław Cardinal Dziwisz, Metropolitan of Cracow
