Do you like airplanes, helicopters, gliders, motor gliders, aircraft engines and so on?  We have a real treat for aviation enthusiasts in Krakow. Hundreds of exhibits depict the history from the time of the first pilots to modern times. In addition to that, we add military aircraft from both world wars, a papal helicopter and many, many more. Not too shabby, huh? 

Attention, Aviation Lovers!
You can go inside some of the exhibits :) It is simply a mandatory point of the aviation - passion - agenda and a great idea for a nice walk with your family on a sunny day.

And for those not necessarily interested?

A large part of the Museum's exhibits is in open-air. The museum area is very picturesque and surrounded by a park. Even if you are not a fan of aerodynamic machines, you can spend a very nice few hours here. Exhibitions are interesting enough that even complete laymen will not be bored.

Thanks to the interactive zone, you can imagine that you are a pilot and experience the aerodynamic principles of physics.

There is also a zone designed for children, where they can do experiments. And of course a lot of space for running :)

Interesting facts

The building of the Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow is located at the former Rakowice-Czyżyny airport, one of the oldest airports in Europe. Thanks to the rich collections of aircraft, helicopters, gliders, and engines, the Polish Aviation Museum is well known in Europe.

The museum's collection contains over 300 items with some of the world's most unique exhibits, such as the hulls of the German WWII Halberstadt Cl.II or Roland D.IV. Here you will find the only remaining Russian flying boat Grigorovich M-15 from 1916. The collection was expanded to include an open-air museum in which the best-known machines from the Soviet era, such as Antonov AN-26 or Polish PZL 130 Orlik, are presented.

  • The last entrance to the museum is possible 30 minutes before its closing
  • To get a discount, you must show a document confirming the age (students should present a valid student ID)
  • You can cancel the reservation free of charge until the start time

Faq

Can the Museum be visited on a different day than the date on the voucher?

Sure, you can use the voucher any day after the purchase date.

Does the voucher have to be printed?

This is not necessary. You will receive a voucher with a barcode entitling you to enter the museum, the code can be scanned directly from your phone.
