Schindler's Factory Guided Tour
Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory is one of the most important museums dedicated to the history of wartime Kraków, telling the story of the city under Nazi occupation through immersive exhibition spaces, photographs, documents and multimedia installations.
The museum does not offer an audio-guide version of the exhibition, which is why expert guidance makes such a significant difference to the experience.
Led by a licensed Kraków guide and history graduate born and raised in Kraków, this small-group tour helps visitors better understand and appreciate the exhibition in a clear, engaging and approachable way.
Questions and discussion are encouraged throughout the tour.
Your guide will also stay in touch with participants via WhatsApp from the day before the visit and will be happy to answer any practical questions that may arise before the tour.
For many visitors, this becomes one of the most memorable experiences of their stay in Kraków.

About Schindler Factory
Oskar Schindler’s Factory Museum is one of the most important and moving historical museums in Kraków. Located in the former enamel factory of Oskar Schindler in the district of Podgórze, the museum presents the dramatic story of Kraków and its inhabitants during the Nazi occupation in World War II.
The exhibition, titled “Kraków under Nazi Occupation 1939–1945”, is designed as an immersive journey through wartime history. Visitors walk through reconstructed streets, apartments, offices, and historical spaces that recreate the atmosphere of occupied Kraków. Original photographs, documents, multimedia installations, personal testimonies, and authentic objects help tell the story of everyday life during one of the darkest periods in the city’s history.
A central figure of the museum is Oskar Schindler, the German entrepreneur who saved the lives of more than one thousand Jewish workers by employing them in his factory. Thanks to his courage and actions, many families survived the Holocaust. His story became internationally known through the film Schindler’s List directed by Steven Spielberg.
The museum also explores the history of the Kraków Ghetto, the fate of the Jewish community, acts of resistance, and the experiences of ordinary citizens living under occupation. Rather than focusing only on military events, the exhibition presents the human side of history — fear, hope, survival, and solidarity.
Today, Schindler’s Factory Museum is considered one of the most meaningful cultural and educational sites in Kraków. It offers visitors a deeper understanding of the city’s wartime past and serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of memory, humanity, and tolerance.
