Celebrating 10 Years of Energylandia: Upcoming Special Events and New Features
The best amusement park in Europe

15.02.2024

Last year, Poland’s largest amusement park Energylandia broke a new attendance record, having welcomed 1.8 million guests during the previous season. Now celebrating its tenth anniversary, the popular park is still growing and draws visitors from all over the world with its huge range of exhilarating attractions.  If you are looking for an amazing place to visit near Krakow, Energylandia is situated in the town of Zator, just 50km away and is easily accessible by road or rail. Once you arrive, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to entertainment, activities, food outlets and shops. Whether you are excited about riding on an award-winning roller coaster, looking forward to enjoying a relaxing swim in the themed water parks or celebrating a special occasion with friends and family, the park provides an exciting day out for visitors of all ages.

Special Events and Seasonal Celebrations

While the park marks its 10th birthday in July 2024 with a special event including exciting surprises and unique attractions, Energylandia is also a great place for children to celebrate their own special day. With proof of being 18 or under, kids can apply for a birthday pass to the park for the price of just 1 PLN.  As well as recognising individual birthdays, the park also hosts a number of special events throughout the year. While everyone enjoys the rides, performances and interactive games on offer, themes add extra excitement to a party and help to create an even more memorable day out. After the park’s seasonal grand opening event in April, other fun themed events include summer beach parties, Oktoberfest, and Halloween festivities. From 14th September, the park also begins its celebrations of the Polish Golden Autumn with pumpkin decorations, wonderful shows and warming seasonal drinks and food.

Award-Winning Rides and Attractions

As well as hosting seasonal celebrations and one-off events, the park is regularly rated as one of the best parks in Europe for its rides. Energylandia is home to 17 thrilling roller coasters, one of which is the Hyperion, awarded the title of European Top New Attraction by Parksmania in 2018. With speeds of over 140 km and a drop of over 80m, the Hyperion is the longest, fastest and tallest coaster in Europe. It is situated in the Extreme Zone, designed especially for thrill seekers. With six zones containing over 120 attractions, and an established outdoor water park, Energylandia currently covers 70 hectares. However, with access to over 200 hectares available for further development, the park has the potential of doubling in size in the future. Although the much publicised installation of a new tilt coaster has now been cancelled, work is already underway on Sweet Valley, a confectionary themed area decorated with oversized cakes, cookies and lollipops and eight new rides and attractions. The largest of these will be the family-friendly ride called the Choco Chip Creek Mine Train which passes by large boulders spouting chocolate, while the smaller Honey Harbour will be a family coaster offering an exciting ride for all ages.

Extensive Tropical Themed Water Parks

Included in the park entrance ticket is access to the Water Park Zone at Energylandia. With a pool area of over 1800m2, the tropical themed zone is a great place to swim, enjoy a number of slides ranging from extreme to family-friendly, or simply relax with a drink on a lounger and soak in the sun. Now Energylandia is focused on extending the fun of the water zone into a covered park which will be connected to the existing exterior pool areas. While the park is currently operational during the warmer months from April to October, plans to expand and add more enclosed features, including a new indoor water park and a hotel zone, will mean visitors will be welcome all year round.

At just over an hour away by car or train, Energylandia makes a great day out from Krakow for visitors of all ages. Whether you want to celebrate a special occasion, experience the thrill of riding on an award-winning roller coaster or just relax in a tropical-style water park, there is plenty to discover at this top-rated amusement park.
